3D UI : Facial Rig

Since 2010, Prof. Eric Farrar at The University of Texas, has dedicated research in the application of 3D animation to visualize and map out the speech movements and mechanics of the tongue.

I served as his assistant for a period of time while I was in graduate school, and gravitated to his work, where I quickly became fascinated with facial musculature and mechanics.

In an effort to explore the topic further, I constructed a 3D facial rig with an interactive UI to control the model’s face.
